Financial education is, believe it or not, part of the national high school curriculum in the UK, but depending on where – and when – you went to school, your experience could range from OK to non-existent.
Our mission at Red Star Education is to provide fun, fast paced and engaging sessions for students of all ages to master the basics of financial literacy. By understanding the financial world and our place in it, we are all better able to plan for a secure financial future and handle the bumps in the road which inevitably come.
Red Star Education are experts in providing engaging and worthwhile workshops that give all learners the tools necessary to navigate their personal finances, which helps with self confidence, social mobility and mental wellbeing.
The Red Star Education financial literacy programme is the brain child of Company Directors Kristen Cunliffe and Nick Cunliffe.
Kristen is a qualified and practicing independent financial adviser with over 20 years experience explaining personal finance to a variety of clients.
Nick is a former professional football coach and qualified further education tutor and has been instrumental in constructing workshops that are engaging, interactive and provide the best learning experience for all.
For a number of years we have provided financial education sessions to a large number of professional football academies, community groups and students of all ages. We also provide similar workshops for corporate clients and their employees.
Our tutors have clear DBS Checks which are available for inspection.
Our enthusiastic sessions have been built with young learners in mind. They encourage participation and independent thought as well as group activities and plenty of room for questions. Each topic is explained in jargon free language helping to remove some of the mystique that can cloud ones understanding of financial concepts.
We cover a variety of topics including ‘understanding income tax’, ‘gambling’, ‘property purchase’, ‘student finance’ and ‘personal budgeting’ but we are happy to discuss individual requirements with you.
Community groups may want to consider our workshops on ‘financial scams’ or ‘retirement planning’ for example
